The Spires Ranch
A labor of love we would like to share with you...
We homesteaded this beautiful piece of land over 10 years ago. As an agricultural ranch we worked with the (CSFS) Colorado State Forest Service properly harvesting unhealthy, and overcrowded trees, as well as any lower ladder fuels for fire hazard mitigation. The results have been amazing with newly developed meadows within our forests attracting the wonders and beauty of our mountain wildlife. We have also properly planted over 4000 trees in areas previously scarred by fire and the survival rates have been exceptional. We have seeded entire hillsides with grasses and wildflowers and come late summer and early fall our property bursts with color.
Our Methods
At The Spires Ranch, we believe in a sustainable approach to fostering our ranch. We use regenerative nitrogen practices to promote soil health and biodiversity. Creating a higher success rate of the over 6000 Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, and Blue Spruce sapling trees.
Our Crop Products
At The Spires Ranch, we have fostered the regrowth of native species trees and grasses which had been destroyed by the Buffalo Creek Fire of 1996. We take great care in every step of the process, from soil reclamation, native wildflower and grass seeding, as well as sustainable harvesting. We are dedicated to the highest quality products.
